About Us

Arne and I were both raised on farms and wanted to pass that lifestyle, with all its joys and challenges, on to our children.  We purchased our farm in 1998 and soon began selling our beef “on the hoof” as finished, live animals directly to local customers.  The response has been enthusiastic, as the tender, flavorful meat is unlike what many are used to finding in chain grocery stores.  Our customers also appreciate that we do not use hormones or antibiotics and know “where their food comes from.”

We are committed to sustainable agriculture.  We rotational graze our grass pastures throughout the year, with only supplemental alfalfa (grown on-farm) during the coldest winter months.  At approximately 900 lbs., the calves are fed a corn-alfalfa ration for 120 days ‘til finished when they are approximately 20 months of age.
